Rice bran oil is a yellowish-brown, clear, and flavorless oil that can promote your horse’s enthusiasm for movement and muscle development. It is rich in oleic, linoleic, and palmitic acids. A characteristic feature of this oil is its high content of gamma-oryzanol (approx. 1–2.0%).

Extraction of rice germ oil Rice germ
oil (rice oil) is obtained from the bran of rice grains (Oryza sativa) through extraction and subsequent refining with deodorization (refined rice germ oil). Rice (Old Indian “vrihi” / Latin “oryza”), a member of the grass family and primarily cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions, is the oldest cultivated plant in the world.

Refining for Stable Oil
While cold pressing is the better choice for many vegetable oils, rice bran oil must be refined. This is the only way to ensure the oil, with its sensitive components, remains stable. The oryzanol content in rice bran oil is approximately 3,000 mg/kg. 

Rich in Valuable Fatty Acids
Rice bran oil is rich in unsaturated oleic acid (38–43%), linoleic acid (32–43%), and palmitic acid (15–20%).
