To Maintain a Healthy Stomach
Stomach ulcers are a common problem in foals and sport horses. Up to 90% of racehorses are affected, and about 60% of other sport horses. They even occur in leisure horses.
A decline in performance, a dull coat, poor feed intake, colic, or constant biting are signs of stomach ulcers. The most common stressors include weaning, auction preparations, conditioning training, competition, transport, and group housing or low social status among the animals.
Tasty and easy to feed
Feeding recommendation:
Horses:
2–4 scoops, or 80–160 g, per day with meals.
For horses extremely prone to stomach ulcers, up to 6 spoonfuls per day, including 1–2 spoonfuls before work.
In cases of extreme susceptibility, we also recommend adjusting the feeding regimen.
Foals during weaning:
1–2 spoonfuls per day
