To Maintain a Healthy Stomach
Stomach ulcers are a common problem in foals and sport horses. Up to 90% of racehorses are affected, and about 60% of other sport horses. They even occur in leisure horses.
A decline in performance, a dull coat, poor feed intake, colic, or cribbing are signs of stomach ulcers. The most common stressors include weaning, auction preparations, conditioning training, competition, transport, and group housing—or a low social rank among the animals.
Tasty and easy to feed
Feeding recommendation:
Horses:
2–4 scoops, or 80–160 g, per day with meals.
For horses extremely prone to stomach ulcers, up to 6 spoonfuls per day, including 1–2 spoonfuls before work.
In cases of extreme susceptibility, we also recommend adjusting the feeding regimen.
Foals during weaning:
1–2 scoops per day
