Marstall Mash is the much-loved meal for horses in special life situations or as an alternative warm treat. Mash is especially recommended and beneficial in cases of constipation, after deworming, surgery, or foaling, as well as during weather changes, feed transitions, the shedding season, or other stressful situations. This easily digestible mixture stimulates the appetite, intestinal function, and metabolism, and—thanks to polyunsaturated fatty acids—also ensures a beautiful, glossy coat.
We’ve further refined the tried-and-true recipe and offer a mash that’s free of sugar, molasses, essential oils, and preservatives. Furthermore, we’ve deliberately avoided adding vitamins and minerals—so our marstall Mash can be combined with any feed ration and veterinary treatment. All of the ingredients used aid digestion: the swelling mucilage in golden-yellow flaxseed has a positive and regenerative effect on the stomach and intestinal lining. Pectins from tasty apple pomace, fiber-rich bran, and many other components are gentle on the digestive tract. Thanks to its balanced Ca:P ratio, the mash can also be used as a concentrate substitute. In that case, however, we recommend a mineral supplement such as marstall Force or the Stall or Pasture Bars.
