Rubber-coated Pelham bit, single-jointed, 12.5 cm

Stübben

Material
Plastic
Size of the bit
12.5 cm
Thick bridle
16 mm
Advantages of the rubber Pelham:
  • Soft and gentle on the mouth
  • Easier and faster communication between horse and rider
  • Unlike most commercially available rubber bits, which have mouthpieces 20 mm thick or thicker, the rubberized Stübben Pelham is thinner at just 16 mm and is therefore more comfortable in the mouth for most horses. The thinner rubber bit minimizes any potential grinding effect.
  • A rubber-coated bit is only suitable for horses that do not tend to chew on the bit with their teeth, as this can damage the rubber.

Advantages of the Pelham:
  • Can be ridden with two or one rein
  • Traction and leverage can be applied in a controlled manner as needed

Advantages of the Pelham side pieces:
  • The distinctive feature of the Stübben STEEL tec Pelham side pieces is their short shanks.
  • The short shanks allow for a quicker response with short rein movements.
  • This rapid response is very helpful in show jumping, especially during quick turns.
  • The flat stainless steel chin strap hooks fit more comfortably and prevent pinching of the lips.
  • The special chin strap hooks also make it easier to adjust the chin strap

Advantages of the SWEET copper mouthpiece:
  • Better acceptance
  • Pleasant taste
  • Stimulates saliva production, which promotes eating
  • The solid copper alloy (90% copper, 7% iron + aluminum, nickel-free) is highly durable
  • Your horse feels comfortable with SWEET Copper

Stübben STEELtec quality:
  • No sharp edges that could injure the horse’s mouth
  • Long-lasting durability thanks to carefully selected materials
  • Special manufacturing techniques minimize wear on the ring holes and joint connections of the bits
