"Comfort" Short Lambskin Strap (No Elastic), 60 cm
The Comfort Lambskin Girth features the same cut as our best-selling Soft Leather Comfort Girth. The breastplate is significantly wider to optimize pressure distribution. The sides are narrow so as not to restrict the horse’s freedom of movement.
Why use lambskin? For one thing, it is hypoallergenic and antiseptic, meaning that even horses with sensitive skin can wear it. In addition, lambskin promotes blood circulation in the horse’s muscles. Thanks to its natural structure, the fur literally massages the muscles while riding. Furthermore, no heat buildup occurs under medical-grade lambskin. Thanks to its natural structure, the fleece helps regulate temperature, and horses do not start sweating underneath it as quickly. A genuine lambskin girth also has the special property of retaining its shape. This means that the fleece regains its shape after every ride. It retains its shape even when wet with sweat.

Uses of the Comfort Short Girth with Lambskin
The Comfort Short Girth with lambskin is, of course, suitable for sensitive horses. For one thing, the wide breastplate helps make the girth generally more comfortable for the horse. For another, the lambskin ensures even better pressure distribution and air circulation than other materials when worn by the horse.
Lambskin girths are often used for sensitive horses, which typically react sensitively to pressure. Lambskin distributes pressure evenly and comfortably like no other material. As described above, genuine lambskin offers many benefits when used.
However, one thing to keep in mind with lambskin is the stability of the saddle. If the horse generally has trouble with the saddle slipping or shifting to the side, it can be difficult to use a lambskin girth. This is because lambskin girths can never be buckled as tightly as those made of other materials, since the lambskin always acts as a springy buffer between the horse’s body and the girth.
