The saddle pad with
medical-grade lambskin is the perfect pad for riding. Unlike
a standard saddle pad, this pad has pockets at the front and back
that can be individually padded to
level out the saddle.
Lambskin is hypoallergenic and antiseptic.
This means that even horses with sensitive skin can wear a saddle pad.
In addition, the lambskin promotes blood circulation in the
horse’s muscles. Thanks to its natural texture, the fur massages the
horse’s back while riding. Medical-grade lambskin also prevents
heat buildup. Thanks to its natural structure, the fleece
regulates temperature, and horses do not start sweating as quickly under the
lambskin. A saddle pad made of genuine lambskin also
has the special property of retaining its shape. This means
that the lambskin regains its shape after every ride. The
saddle pommel pads exert very localized pressure and compress the lambskin.
Despite sweat, the shape is retained. Even when the saddle rests on the
lambskin and the fur is compressed by the jolts of riding,
high-quality lambskin does not come apart but
retains its shape and is merely compressed. As a result, the pad
is highly shock-absorbing, adapts anatomically to the horse, and
prevents pressure points or chafing. Such
saddle pads are very gentle on the horse’s back.

lambskin Use
A
saddle pad with genuine lambskin is often used in show jumping or
eventing. The lambskin protects against strong impacts
from the rider. Sensitive horses in particular need natural products in the
back area to be able to move without pressure or restriction.
In addition,
the pad features insert pockets to help adjust the saddle’s position.
These insert pockets allow the saddle’s position to be individually adjusted
if the saddle sits too low in the front or back. Possible reasons
for this may include changes in the horse’s musculature,
or the fact that the saddle does not fit optimally.
Care Instructions
: Natural
materials are sensitive to chemicals. The more often lambskin is washed, the
more it loses its natural properties and also begins to
shed. Once the lambskin has dried, simply
brush it out with a brush. If you do decide to wash the saddle pad,
use a special lambskin detergent and wash
the pad at 30°C. Remove the inserts beforehand.
