REV, 17'5" seat, with a pair of saddle flaps, brown
Unique Modularity – Maximum Comfort
Whether for long trekking rides, show jumping, or dressage, this saddle combines the various equestrian disciplines into a single model. With just a few simple steps, the saddle flaps can be easily swapped out using a special snap-button mechanism.
The innovative saddle tree ensures maximum comfort for both horse and rider. The rider’s contoured seat is separated from the horse’s anatomically adapted contact surface by a horizontal “U” shape, thereby providing the desired cushioning effect.
Despite the two levels, the rider remains close to the horse and can use the usual aids.
Two different positioning options for the stirrup leathers allow for the perfect leg position across various disciplines. The dressage panel has a narrow cut and features a large pad at the front. The jumping panel is cut wider at the front and, in addition to a soft front pad and a small calf block, offers the option of a Velcro pad for additional reinforcement. The trekking panel is cut wide and offers plenty of legroom. The large pad also guarantees the necessary support when riding cross-country.
Unbeatable fit and pressure distribution:
The patented and award-winning saddle tree was developed by Martin Ryan to distribute the forces generated while riding as evenly as possible across a larger, full-surface contact area on the horse’s back. Unlike traditional saddle trees, the REV features a continuous support surface across the horse’s back from front to back, making it suitable for a wide variety of horse backs. The flexible panels in the rear section of the saddle tree allow for maximum freedom of movement.
The shock-absorbing spring action reduces jerky and potentially uncontrolled movements to protect the horse’s back over the long term.
As soon as the rider sits in the saddle, the saddle chamber opens slightly, relieving pressure on the horse’s front section so that the horse’s shoulder can rotate freely.
In exceptional cases, the saddle tree can be easily adjusted to a very high withers or a very broad horse’s back by screwing in width-adjustment wedges for a better fit.
The Look:
With its futuristic and sporty design, the REV Saddle by Martin Ryan breaks with the classic style of conventional saddles. Thanks to its novel construction and innovative use of materials, the REV stands out from conventional saddles and is sure to turn heads. The saddle tree, made from a special fiberglass-thermoplastic composite, not only gives the saddle a unique look but also makes it exceptionally lightweight.
Who is this saddle suitable for:
The REV saddle is an absolute must-have for riders who are looking for variety and don’t want to commit to a specific discipline. Thanks to its innovative saddle tree, the REV is particularly well-suited for sensitive horse backs that require even pressure distribution and load distribution while riding. This makes the REV the ideal choice for riders who want to enjoy even longer, more comfortable, and more varied rides with their horse.
The REV is also in high demand among ambitious professional equestrians who wish to enhance their horse’s performance over the long term by providing greater freedom of movement in the shoulders, reducing pressure on the back, and ensuring optimal pressure distribution.
