Description
: Farrier’s Finish® combats bacterial and fungal infections that cause white line disease and thrush, and improves hoof quality. It also helps maintain optimal hoof moisture levels, even in extremely wet or dry conditions.
Applications
: Cracks in the hoof, old nail holes, and a weakened hoof wall structure allow microbes to penetrate, resulting in crumbling hoof walls or white line disease. Thrush is a bacterial infection of the sole and the frog, usually occurring in a moist environment.
Numerous commercially available hoof care products contain chemicals that denature the hoof’s structure and destroy its protective mechanisms. They harden the hoof and make it shiny; however, as a result, the chemically denatured hoof loses some of its elasticity, impact resistance, and oxygen permeability. A hoof wall that is no longer elastic is more prone to breaking. A hoof wall that can no longer breathe properly cannot maintain a balanced moisture balance.
Farrier’s Finish®, with its unique blend of ingredients, protects the hoof from harmful microbes and maintains the hoof wall’s proper elasticity and shock-absorbing capacity.
