MAX-Control is a double-jointed bit that, at first glance, is indistinguishable from conventional double-jointed bits. However, it is a corrective and training bit that locks at a certain angle and acts similarly to a bar.
In practice, this effect is applied very gently, as the bit conforms very well to the tongue and lower jaw under normal contact. Only when the reins are pulled more firmly does the more intense and effective action take effect, as the bit acts like a bar.
