THERMOBOOT is a special, relaxing gaiter from the Zandona Therapeutic line, designed specifically for the comfortable application of cold and heat therapies directly to a horse’s tendons and joints.
The THERMOBOOT is made of neoprene with an aluminum thermal coating on the inside to provide better insulation and prolong the cold/heat effect. It also features a 3D mesh lining that protects the horse’s skin from burns and ensures optimal transfer of cold or heat. The unique shape of the THERMOBOOT was designed to ensure stability and comfort during use and to promote optimal contact with tendons and joints. The sturdy closure system ensures a perfect fit on the leg, and the “Easy-Pull” tab makes it easier and faster to safely remove the boot.
Regular use of the THERMOBOOT for short periods (20–30 minutes) after intense exercise can help prevent minor injuries and/or trauma to ligaments, tendons, and joints, and reduce local swelling, heat, and pain. The THERMOBOOT can be worn on both the front and hind legs.
Includes two special gel packs (one for each gaiter).

COLD THERAPY: Cold therapy can be used as a daily treatment for your horse. Intense exercise can lead to microtrauma in capillaries, tendons, and ligaments. The resulting hyperemia can persist and promote inflammation. Cold therapy causes vasoconstriction, reduces proteolytic enzyme activity, decreases the influx of inflammatory mediators and toxins, and provides pain relief to restore blood flow after exercise. The sooner the temperature of the tendons can be lowered after exercise, the better.
THERMOBOOT can also help treat hematomas, sprains, injuries, strains, and ligament and tendon damage in horses. For severe injuries involving overextension of the fetlock joint, ice therapy is necessary, and you can use THERMOBOOT in 20- to 30-minute sessions 4 or more times a day. The early stages of injuries are critical, so the sooner it can be applied, the better. In such severe cases, continued use of cold therapy, combined with a controlled exercise program, is crucial for recovery and accelerates the rehabilitation process.
NOTE: ALWAYS USE COLD THERAPY IN CONJUNCTION WITH VETERINARY ADVICE. IF SEVERE SYMPTOMS PERSIST, CONSULT YOUR VETERINARIAN IMMEDIATELY.

HEAT THERAPY: Heat therapy is ideal for promoting blood circulation in a specific area of the body, eliminating residual inflammation, and promoting the flow of nutrients and, consequently, healing. Heat can also be beneficial before exercise and for horses suffering from arthritis. Applying heat can increase the elasticity of soft tissues, as well as the flexibility and suppleness of muscles during exercise. Heat also acts as a temporary pain reliever and alleviates pain. Heat should be gradually incorporated into your horse’s recovery program following an injury. Too much heat too soon can lead to bleeding. In cases of swelling, you should not apply heat until the swelling has subsided for 24 hours. Alternate between heat and cold therapy by gradually increasing the duration of heat application and reducing the duration of cold therapy per session to facilitate the transition to heat therapy alone.

Washing Instructions: Remove the gel packs, close the Velcro fasteners, and wash the THERMOBOOT in a laundry bag at 30°. Clean the gel packs with warm water and mild soap.
