FREY HORSE DYNAMIC POWER meets the increased iron requirements of horses with heavy workloads and corresponding sweat loss. It specifically prevents performance declines and deficiency symptoms, and promotes rapid blood renewal and oxygen supply to the tissues.
Iron is a component of hemoglobin, the red blood pigment, and is necessary for blood formation. It also plays additional roles as a component of enzymes in metabolism. Standard feed contains more iron than a horse needs to meet its requirements. However, it is important to note that iron phytate, for example, is poorly absorbed. Phytate compounds are found in grains, grain products, and oilseed residues. Therefore, an unbalanced diet can still lead to a deficiency. Iron has a positive effect on hemoglobin levels in the blood and myoglobin levels in the muscles, and supports the mechanisms for oxygen transport and oxygen transfer. Like iron, copper is involved in enzymes that catalyze redox reactions in metabolism. It supports the incorporation of iron into hemoglobin. Copper is also necessary for pigment formation and connective tissue development. Cobalt also has a positive effect on blood, skin, and growth. A cobalt atom is contained in the vitamin B12 molecule. A deficiency in cobalt always indicates a deficiency in vitamin B12 as well. Zinc supports the immune system. When calcium and copper intake is high (due to excessive consumption of grains or grain byproducts with high phytic acid content), the body’s need for zinc increases.
