It can also be fastened in various ways and is particularly versatile. It is also suitable for more sensitive horses, as it is slightly “softer” than model 40607. Due to the offset upper rings, the leverage on the neck is applied later. When used in eventing, it is preferably ridden with the leather strap (Item No. 42111), which is also available; this strap limits the pressure on the poll and additionally applies pressure to the lower jaw.

Double-jointed bits in which the olive-shaped center piece—compared to conventional bits—is shortened and angled forward at 45°. Only with this angle does the center piece rest particularly gently on the tongue. These bits therefore allow for a trusting contact and very subtle rein action.
The innovative KK ULTRA bits utilize the tongue’s sense of touch, which functions with similar sensitivity in horses as it does in humans.
The tongue is a highly sensitive sensory organ and amplifies the reception of signals transmitted to the horse’s mouth through the rider’s rein aids. When the reins are tightened, the center piece of the KK ULTRA bits rests firmly on the tongue without squeezing it or exerting pressure on the palate or the sides of the mouth. The connecting rings to the center piece roll over the tongue. The new position of the center piece and the side parts of the bit enhances the tactile sensation of the tongue. The rider’s rein aids are transmitted more precisely and sensitively to the horse’s mouth. The KK ULTRA bits ensure an incomparably sensitive contact between rider and horse. When switching to a KK ULTRA bit, an immediate improvement in contact is usually noticeable. The anatomically adapted mouthpiece is particularly comfortable for the horse and promotes suppleness, as the rider can apply pressure more sensitively.
