KK ULTRA bits achieve their unique, precise effect thanks to the special 45° angle of the shank. When used correctly, this promotes the horse’s trust in the rider’s hand, which is why these bits are used successfully worldwide in all disciplines and across all training levels—a true all-around talent!

Compared to previously available bits, the shank has also been shortened. This anatomical adaptation noticeably optimizes the effect compared to conventional double-jointed bits.

When the reins are taken up, the center piece—also called an “olive” due to its distinctive shape—rolls gently over the central part of the horse’s tongue, thereby stimulating its sense of touch. The connecting rings to the center piece roll softly over the tongue without exerting pressure.

Double-jointed bits in which the olive-shaped center piece—compared to conventional bits—is shortened and angled forward at 45°. Only at this angle does the center piece rest particularly gently on the tongue. These bits therefore allow for a trusting contact and very subtle rein action. — The

innovative KK ULTRA bits utilize the tongue’s sense of touch, which functions with similar sensitivity in horses as it does in humans.-

The tongue is a highly sensitive sensory organ and amplifies the signals transmitted to the horse’s mouth through the rider’s rein aids. When the reins are pulled, the center piece of the KK ULTRA bits rests firmly on the tongue without squeezing it or exerting pressure on the palate or the sides of the mouth. The connecting rings to the center piece roll over the tongue. The new positioning of the center piece and the side parts of the bit enhances the tactile sensation of the tongue. The rider’s rein aids are transmitted more precisely and sensitively to the horse’s mouth. The KK ULTRA bits ensure an incomparably sensitive contact between rider and horse. When switching to a KK ULTRA bit, an immediate improvement in contact is usually noticeable. The anatomically adapted mouthpiece is particularly comfortable for the horse and promotes suppleness, as the rider can apply pressure more sensitively.
