Olive-head snaffle bit, Sweet Cooper Level 2, double-jointed, 13.5 cm, 16 mm

The olive-head snaffle is characterized by a fixed ring. Compared to a water snaffle, the sides should fit about one centimeter closer to the corners of the mouth. The olive-head design prevents the corners of the mouth from getting pinched in the rings. The horse cannot push the bit upward with its tongue, so the mouthpiece rests more calmly in the mouth and is stabilized slightly more from the sides. Since the ring does not rotate, the result is a slightly more direct action with a gentle influence on the neck. However, the difference from the snaffle bit is not noticeable to either the horse or most riders. 

The double-jointed Level 2 mouthpiece distributes pressure somewhat more directly across the tongue and lower jaw. The olive head provides slight lateral stabilization and guidance, creating calmness and stability in the horse’s mouth.

The sweet-tasting SWEET copper is particularly well-received by horses and encourages them to take the bit.
