Senior Plus is a muesli formulated to meet the needs of older and convalescing horses, while being particularly palatable, energy-rich, and highly digestible. It stimulates the appetite of finicky senior horses and helps rehabilitation patients get back on their feet. At the same time, it boosts metabolism and, when fed regularly, helps prevent age-related loss of body condition.

Senior Plus is a high-quality premium muesli: Thanks to its hydrothermally treated cereal flakes, it provides plenty of energy in an easily digestible form, ensuring that horses with age-related digestive slowdown and reduced metabolic function do not experience physical decline. Protein-rich ingredients such as brewer’s yeast, ground flaxseed, and pea flakes help with the coat change—which is often a problem for senior horses—and support muscle development in convalescing horses. As they age (for warmbloods, roughly from age 20 onward), horses need 20 to 25% more energy and protein than younger horses. Flaxseed, carrot flakes, and apple pomace are palatable and provide valuable omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, and gut-supporting fiber. Seaweed extract meets the increased vitamin requirements of older horses (vitamins A, E, B complex, and C). Additionally, Senior Plus contains higher levels of trace minerals (copper, zinc, iodine, and selenium).
Senior Plus is also suitable for building muscle mass in horses of all ages. Together with Mash, Proluca, and Wiesen-Cobs, marstall offers a complete nutritional concept consisting of concentrated feed and roughage for horses with dental problems.
