Pro Muscle is a therapeutic for horses, particularly rich in vitamin E, selenium, citric acid and basic sodium citrate.

Properties: It contributes significantly to the reduction of lactic acid, which is produced in large quantities by intensive training and is necessary for the proper functioning of the muscles and motor function. Calcium and magnesium, which are contained in PRO MUSCLE, prevent muscle cramps and stiffness.

Applications:

For a horse of 500 kg live weight, the amount of 30 ml daily is recommended together with the other ingredients of the gentle diet.

Composition:

-Vitamin E: has, together with selenium and NN-dimetil glycine,an antioxidant effect, it promotes the transport of oxygen into the cells and prevents the formation of free radicals and lactic acid. It also guarantees a stabilising and protective effect of the cell membranes, it stimulates the absorption of oxygen in the tissues, it increases the resistance of the organism to exertion and it strengthens the immune system to prevent infectious diseases.

-Selenium: enters into the composition of the enzyme glutathione peroxidase, deputy formed for the destruction of free radicals. Selenium prevents the accumulation of peroxides in the cytoplasm and organelles of muscles and other cells.

-Calcium and magnesium: contained in the pro-muscle, help prevent muscle cramps and stiffness. The magnesium is used to relax the smooth muscle of the arteries and muscles of the bronchial tubes, improving both blood flow and pulmonary ventilation. Sodium citrate and citric acid have a neutralising effect on the lactic acid that accumulates in the blood and muscle tissue. The metabolites of citric acid act by balancing the alkaline deficiency in metabolic acidosis.
