Produktinformationen "Chia seeds BIO for animals, whole"

For the ancient Maya, chia seeds were a staple food and a remedy in one. In the meantime, Europe has also become aware of the "superfood" from Mexico, because the small seeds have what it takes. With their content of antioxidants, calcium, potassium, iron, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, they outshine many other tried and tested foods.

Chia seeds are suitable for leisure and sport horses because of their high content of native vital substances (rich in essential amino acids, unsaturated fatty acids, minerals and vitamins) and mucilage in addition to the daily basic supply - especially for older and sick horses.
For horses with digestive problems, horses in the change of coat or for strengthening the immune system and vitalising horses, you will achieve visibly fast results with CHIA seeds.

Chia (Salvia hispanica) is a small oval seed of light brown colour, which originally comes from Mexico and whose special composition and condition-promoting properties were already discovered centuries ago by the Aztecs and Indians. For centuries, the nutritious chia seeds were the staple food of the Native Americans, who said it had magical powers.Today, scientific studies have proven how high-quality the seed of this sage species is. Many interesting nutrients are contained in chia seeds.

Chia seeds contain a particularly high-quality amino acid spectrum. The oil contained in chia seeds is particularly exceptional, with more than 60 % valuable omega-3 linolenic acid, one of the highest contents in the plant kingdom. Furthermore, chia oil is rich in natural antioxidants, including chlorogenic acid and caffeic acid. Like psyllium and linseed, chia belongs to the mucilage-forming seeds. These seeds are basically rich in mucopolysaccharides, which form a colourless mucus on the surface of the seeds when they come into contact with water, so that the quality and consistency of the faeces can be improved in the case of digestive disorders. This mucilage also promotes the regeneration of the intestinal mucosa and thus reduces the risk of diarrhoea.

Benefits:

- Chia is the largest plant resource of omega-3 fatty acids in the optimal ratio to omega-6 fatty acids of 3:1

- Omega-3 fatty acids promote neurological chemical communication in brain cells and play a positive role in neurological cell fluidity

- Horses in competitive sports also enjoy this effect and also have a stronger and faster muscle build-up due to the high proportion of high-quality proteins with the vital amino acids.

- Clinical studies have proven that the essential fatty acids regulate blood pressure and can offer protection against cardiovascular diseases

- Chia seeds are gluten and cholesterol free and easy to digest

Wear and tear of the joints is always associated with inflammatory processes that can lead to joint swelling and pain. It is therefore likely that the anti-inflammatory properties of omega-3 fatty acids can have a positive effect on the inflammatory processes in the joint. Scientists have found that the omega-3 fatty acids ALA, EPA and DHA in particular also have an effect on the disease process in the joint at the molecular level.
