Barn Bag® Adult Maintenance is a low calorie and low starch supplement. It provides the horse with all important vitamins, minerals, amino and fatty acids on a daily basis. As a concentrated source of nutrients, Barn Bag optimises the utilisation of hay and pasture feed.

The problem
Nutrients added to compound feed are forcibly administered to the horse in uncontrolled doses in order to achieve the calorie intake required to maintain weight. This leads to the over-supply of poor feed converters, to whom larger amounts are fed, while animals with low energy requirements receive too little of the nutritional supplements.

The solution
When feeding Barn Bag® instead of compound feed, a horse gets the nutrients it needs without extra, excess calories. Barn Bag® is suitable for horses that should get little carbohydrates, i.e. good feed converters with and without overweight, as well as animals with insulin resistance, Cushing's syndrome, metabolic syndrome or laminitis. 85 g Barn Bag® per day is sufficient to supply an average 450 kg horse with nutrients.

If your horse is a poor forager, needs to maintain or increase its weight or compete, it may need an additional source of calories. In these cases, you should give the horse beet pulp or vegetable oil in addition to Barn Bag® and whole oats.

One package (5 kg) is sufficient for a horse of 450 kg for about 60 days.
